🌙 On Transitions and Finding Light in the Dark
Some changes knock gently. Others show up uninvited and rearrange everything.
I’ve been in one of those seasons lately. The kind that stirs up your sense of identity, purpose, and direction. What’s helped me most? Something simple: picking up my guitar. Not to write, not to impress—just to play. To strum. To sing. To let sound move through me instead of keeping everything inside.
When life feels uncertain, creativity can be a kind of medicine. You don’t need to be an artist. You just need to give yourself permission to express—no judgment, no outcome.
Maybe that’s journaling. Maybe it’s sketching. Maybe it’s humming in the kitchen while you make coffee.
That act of expression—however small—can soften the edges of change. It reminds us that even when everything feels uncertain, we still have the power to create something from nothing.
✨ This week’s reminder: You don’t need to fix what’s changing. You just need to stay open and let something beautiful move through you.

🧼 Chemical Sensitivity: The Hidden Trigger You Might Be Living With
If you’ve been dealing with mystery symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, or rashes—it might be something hiding in plain sight.
I’ve been chemically sensitive since birth.
That means things like scented detergents, perfumes, or even the wrong cleaning product can trigger everything from migraines to itchy skin to full-body fatigue. And the wildest part? Most people have some level of sensitivity—they just don’t know the source.
You might think your seasonal allergies are acting up. Or that you’re randomly more tired than usual. But sometimes, it’s not the pollen or the stress. It’s the synthetic fragrance in your laundry detergent. The air freshener in your car. The cleaning spray you used on your counters.
Chemical sensitivity isn’t always loud. It’s sneaky. Subtle. It shows up as rashes, sinus pressure, brain fog, irritability, or even anxiety.
A few things to check if you’re curious:
- Try going fragrance-free for a week (detergents, soaps, etc.)
- Read ingredient labels on household cleaners
- Ditch synthetic air fresheners and candles
- Use a HEPA air purifier if you’re in a small or poorly ventilated space
- Pay attention to how you feel after you clean, wash, or spray anything
You don’t have to live in a bubble. But tuning into your environment might explain a few symptoms you’ve been chasing for years.
